The Singareni Collieries Company Limited is taking up development works in coal belt areas under "Surrounding Habitat Assistance Programme (SHAPE)" since 2003-04.
Habitats which are less than 8.00 Kms from townships or 10.00 Kms from mine entries and having SCCL workmen at 25% of total population or 200 Nos., whichever is less are considered.
