The Singareni Collieries Co.Ltd. (SCCL) has bagged prestigious “CSR Award of the Year” for 2013 from Hyderabad Management Association (HMA). Hon’ble Minister for IT & Communication, Govt of A.P. Sri Ponnala Laxmaiah has presented the award to Mr.Sutirtha Bhattacharya, IAS, Chairman & M.D. SCCL in a award function on 24.06.2013.
Singareni received the award for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities being carried out in surrounding villages of its’ mining areas located in four Districts i.e. Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal. Company is providing infrastructure facilities, self employment training programmes for unemployed youth, free medical camps for general public, special schools for children of local people etc as a part of Company’s CSR programmes.
