          Sub: Coal Prices effective from ’00.00’ hours of 29.3.2008.

          In pursuance of the Colliery Control Order 2000, issued by the Govt. of India on 1st January 2000 and in supersession of our earlier PRICE NOTIFICATION NO. 10/2007-08 dt. 28.12.2007, following revised coal prices have been notified for supply of various grades of coal produced from all Mines of The Singareni Collieries Company Limited effective from ’00.00’ hours of  29.03.2008 (  midnight of 28/03/2008) as under:

II.  Notes:

1.                 Run of Mine coal is coal comprising of all sizes which comes out of the mine without any crushing or screening.

 

2.                 The fraction of the Run of Mine coal as is retained on a screen when subjected to screening OR is picked out by fork shovel during loading is called Steam coal.

 

3.                 The fraction that remains after Steam Coal has been removed from the Run of Mine coal is called Slack coal.

 

4.                 When the top size is limited to any maximum limit within the range of 200 – 250 mm through manual facilities or mechanical facilities is called Crushed ROM Coal.

5.                 When coal is loaded either into Indian Railway Services OR into the Purchaser’s own system of transport through high capacity loading system with a nominal capacity of 3500 Tonnes per hour or more, additional charges of Rs.16.60ps per tonne will be levied  for such loading.

 

6.                 i)    The prices notified herein are applicable only to sale of coal at        pit-heads on F.O.R. collieries siding basis OR F.O.B.        Purchaser’s transport basis at the colliery loading point.

 

ii)    Where coal is transported from pithead to the loading points additional transport costs, will be collected extra from the purchasers at the following rates.

Distance more than 3 Kms, but not more than 10 Kms

Rs.40/- per tonne

Distance more than 10 Kms, but not more than 20 Kms

Rs.70/- per tonne

Distance more than 20 Kms

Actual Transport charges including the expenditure incurred towards repair & maintenance of roads leading to SCCL loading points subject a minimum of Rs.70 per tone.

Mode of transport like Conveyor, Aerial, Ropeway etc., are included for levy of Surface Transport Charges.

 

7.       The Pit-head prices fixed are exclusive of Royalty, cess, taxes and levy, if any, levied by the Govt., Local authorities or other Bodies, duties of excise and Sales Tax from time to time. 

 

8.       For undertaking special sizing or benefication of coal, additional charges as may be negotiated between the Purchaser and SCCL will be realized over and above the notified prices.

 

9.       From 1.4.2008, 20% additional price (un-linked price) shall  not be charged to non-core consumers as per new coal distribution policy, However premium prices applicable at dispatch points and other charges like royalty, forest land adjustment cost, pre-weigh-bin charges, stowing excise duty are chargeable over and above the notified price.

 

10.            Forest Land adjustment cost will be levied at Rs.15/- per tonne for all grades of coal including un-graded coal.

 

11.     Pre-weigh bin charges at Rs.25/- per tonne will be levied at all road dispatch points where coal is delivered through pre-weigh bins.

 

12.            SCCL will charge Rs.216.78 ps extra per tonne over and above the notified price (vide price notification no 11/2007-08,dt 28.3.2007)  in respect of the coal produced from OC-II mine of Ramagundam.

 

13      The  above prices notified will be effective from ’00.00’ hours of 29.3.2008 and are subject to revision from time to time.
